• Firany Marmol-Briceno is the Executive Director of the Latino Health Organization (LHO) in Indianapolis, IN.

    Before this role, Firany launched her career working with different organizations that work to improve the lives of our community here in Central Indiana. During this time, she served in a different non-for-profit organization as she felt the call of helping many of the immigrants who come to the city of Indianapolis.

    She served in different organizations helping Hispanic students and their families navigate the complexities of preparing for college. She was part of MECA and was ACE Mentor, which consists of engaging, exciting, and enlightening high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction, she was a member of the Architecture for Humanity, and also was the leader at Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity (Women Build) where she led and inspired a team of 15 women to do their best effort in an effective manner while helping a family in the construction and fundraising for a home in Central Indiana, she was a mentor for Girls Scouts of Central Indiana. Currently, she is Natural Helper for the Immigrant Welcome Center and a National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach with Black Women’s Health Imperative in Washington DC.

    Also, Firany has successfully sustained her carrier in the Marketing field, she had the opportunity to work closely with individuals, families, and communities from diverse populations including the Latino community. During this time, she was able to establish marketing strategies and support projects through campaign lifecycles. Also, she performed ongoing evaluations of partners’ environments to identify unique opportunities to evaluate the needs and bring the best services to the community.

    Firany received her BA in Architecture from the School of Architecture at the University of the Andes (ULA) in Merida, Venezuela, she decided to move to United State in 2001 and had the opportunity to practice design for 18 years in the city of Indianapolis.
